Why You Should See “I Heart Shakey”
Did you hear about the new independent film that was released on June 29th? Producers Kevin and DeAnna Cooper, who are originally from California, recently relocated to Wheaton, Illinois to raise their family but wanted to continue working in the movie industry.
Family film “I Heart Shakey” is their first independent production. “A family comedy for all breeds,” reads the tagline. The film is about the life and struggles of a rescue dog, Shakey, the dog’s owner, and his daughter that relocate to a small town in Illinois. The struggle begins when the father has to tell his daughter that they cannot keep Shakey since he missed the small print about dogs not being allowed in their rental home.
The industrious daughter and Shakey see to it that they teach the father a very valuable lesson; one of togetherness and love – a lesson that will help to keep this family together forever. This lesson is applicable to all families today.
Steve Guttenberg and Beverly D’Angelo star in the film. It was directed by Kevin Cooper. If they can believe in the cause, why can’t you? Help support your local rescue organizations and let’s make America a nation where no pet is homeless!
