Who are some famous people in history who were known for hating dogs?FamilyPet
There are not many records kept of famous people throughout history who have openly hated dogs. Most famous people have an image to protect and would not want to be known for anything negative, especially hating a species as universally beloved as dogs. However, some famous people do have a tendency to like other animals, such as cats, more than dogs and have been vocal about their preferences towards a particular group of animals.
Some famous persons in history who were known to love cats more than dogs include Marie Antoinette, Pope Benedict XVI, Charlotte Bronte, George Burns, Sir Winston Churchill, Charles Dickens, Albert Einstein, Ernest Hemingway, John Lennon, Henri Matisse, Edgar Allen Poe and Queen Victoria. These famous people talked about their love of cats and owned felines themselves, though this does not make these people necessarily dog-haters.
While dogs are kept as domestic pets in many nations, some still roam as strays in some countries. So, while dogs may not be hated in many parts of the world, they are certainly not treated as members of the family in certain regions as they are in countries throughout Europe, Asia, Australia, and North and South America.
