They Were Out On A Whale-Watching Boat. Then, They Witnessed The Unexpected!

Whale-watching is fascinating enough as it is, but what these people got to witness is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. People aboard a recent whale-watching expedition, Captain Dave’s Dolphin and Whale Safari, in California, got to see a mother whale give birth and then teach her newborn to swim! The boat was approached by a pod of false killer whales known as Pseudorca crassidens, a species not seen there in nearly ten years.

The captain, Dave Anderson, said that in over twenty years on the water, he’s never seen anything like it, especially a wild Pseudorca birth. Luckily for us, a passenger on the boat captured the baby whales first moments of life on camera. Watch the adorable little guy in the video below:
