When you think of a cat or dog what name comes to mind?

Most people name their beloved pets after their favorite characters in a movie, book or show. However, some names are so classic that they stand the test of time. Rover recently conducted a survey to see what the most popular names were for 2019 and the names may surprise you.

This year more pet parents looked to celebrities and royalty for name ideas. The most popular royalty names still are Queen Elizabeth and Diana. However, other cat parents focused on their love of coffee with names like Mocha, Latte and Kona. Rover reports, “Eight of the top ten drink-themed cat names are coffee-inspired!”
