Woman Adopts 10-Year-Old Goldfish And Nurses It Back To Health

Most of us get goldfish in a plastic bag at the summer fair in our community. We take it home, put it in a bowl of water and, unfortunately, are saying goodbye within a few days or perhaps a week.

Perhaps that is why people are so amazed that a woman was able to rehabilitate her 10-year-old goldfish.

Lacey Scott has a large following on TikTok and often posts her sculptures through that social media platform. After sharing the video about her fish, it has amassed millions of views. Monstro, her goldfish, was nursed back to health by Scott.

When Scott first got Monstro in 2019, he was all black. It wasn’t long before he started changing color to a neon red as he regained his health.

In the video, you can see the changes in the health of Monstro over the past year. At first, he was practically immobile and covered in lesions but Scott didn’t give up hope.

She put him in a shallow “hospital” and he began swimming again. He also regained his appetite and gained enough strength that he was put in a bigger tank.

The most shocking thing was the way that the fish changed as he got healthier. Rather than having black scales, he had a shiny, new, and beautiful look.

“I don’t know how long he has left,” Scott wrote in her video. “But he’ll spend the rest of his days happy and loved.”

We really needed some good news this year!
