These Therapy Horses Help Military Veterans Cope With Their PTSD!
Life after war is never an easy thing to deal with for veterans. Many of them develop Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and have trouble in their day-to-day lives. This non-profit organization, Spring Reins of Life, uses horses as therapy to help veterans cope with their disorder.
Their program, located in New Jersey, is dedicated to promoting psychological healing, emotional well-being and personal growth using the skills of mental health professionals and the guided assistance of these horses. All of their work is done in an arena, round pen or pasture with the horses and humans on same level ground.
