Emotional Support Duck Wags His Tail And Quacks In Excitement For His First Airplane Trip
We’ve all seen therapy dogs on planes with their humans to help calm their nerves during flight, but it’s not every day you see a therapy duck!
Carla Fitzgerald and her emotional support duck, Daniel, took a trip from Milwaukee to Charlotte, N.C., and then to Asheville, N.C.
Passengers immediately took their phones out to snap pictures of the duck, who they were extremely surprised to see. He was a big hit and everyone on board enjoyed his presence.
Daniel wagged his tail and quacked quietly to help keep his human calm.
Fitzgerald suffers from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder from a bad accident three years ago. She was driving a horse and carriage around Milwaukee when she was hit by a driver who was texting. Fitzgerald was thrown from the carriage and didn’t walk again or regain use of her arm for months.
That’s when Daniel came into her life when her doctor prescribed him as her therapy animal to help calm her, especially when he senses a panic attack coming on.
