A French Bulldog born with rare facial deformities as well as both a hard and soft cleft palate, Lentil’s chances of survival without intensive care were minimal. Enter the French Bulldog Rescue Network and volunteer foster parent Lindsay Condefer. The makeshift mom fed the pup through a tube every three hours in those early days and without a doubt insured the adorable dog’s survival.

Fast forward eighteen months. Lentil is a bubbly, bouncing, healthy dog on a mission. After his story went viral, Condefer connected with the University of Pennsylvania where Lentil successfully underwent surgery to repair his palates–and discovered how the little dog might inspire humans with craniofacial differences.

With 144,000 Facebook fans behind him, Lentil and Condefer started the Team Lentil Kids’ Club to encourage the youngest of his followers as they  face similar medical procedures of their own. But Lentil isn’t stopping there. He and Condefer plan to take their show on the road soon, visiting craniofacial camps and events across the United States in order to inspire others and bring awareness for those with craniofacial differences. Atta boy, Lentil!
