Adorable Video Of Shelter Kittens Playing In An Empty Aquarium Offers Cute Escape From Coronavirus Blues
Quarantine got you feeling down? Here’s an adorable pick-me-up to help combat those pandemic blues.
After the Georgia Aquarium was temporarily closed to curb the spread of COVID-19, workers made the best of difficult situation by inviting local shelter puppies from the Atlanta Humane Society roam the empty halls. “Our puppies just had the best. day. ever.,” rescuers captioned the adorable video on their Facebook page. “They made all sorts of exciting discoveries and lots of new friends!”
Of course, this adorable outing made the shelter cats quite jealous, so the Georgia Aquarium and the Humane Society decided to re-create this heartwarming field trip — this time with a troupe of five fluffy young kittens.

“You asked for it… you got it!” the Atlanta Humane Society captioned a YouTube video of this adorable encounter. “We brought kittens to the Georgia Aquarium, and they loved it!!”
Actually, this was an understatement.
Those five lucky shelter kittens – Nemo, Dory, Marlin, Guppy, and Bubbles – had the adventure of their young lifetimes. Unlike the puppies, who seemed to prefer running around and playing with each other, these curious kittens were truly entranced by the marine life around them. They gawked at schools of tropical fish, pawed at the glass, and bravely tried playing with jellyfish many times their size.

The Atlanta Humane Society has also published some tips on how to keep your pets safe during these scary and isolating times! “If you become ill and can still properly care for your pet, the best solution is keeping your pet in your home with you,” the shelter wrote on its website.
Experts believe the risk of dogs and cats contracting COVID-19 is extremely low, but still suggest limiting contact with your furry family if you’re sick or exposed to COVID-19 – just like you would other people. The shelter also recommends having “multiple caregiver” options in case you become too sick to provide your pet with proper care.
