This sweet but shy dog named Benny, who was at the Carson Animal Care Center, a high-kill shelter in Gardena, California, sat and waited each day for someone to want him. Week after week, people came and gone, but no one wanted to adopt him. That is, until earlier this month! When Benny realizes he’s being adopted, his reaction is absolutely priceless! It will definitely put a HUGE smile on your face!

At first he is in his cage, crying and backing away as they are trying to get him out. It’s clear that he is nervous and doesn’t know what’s going on. When they put his leash on and take him out of the cage, he jumps up and down and can’t stop wagging his tail. He’s so happy that he tries to run forward, pulling his new human with him. You can tell that he’s ecstatic and so relieved to finally be outside instead of stuck in a cage. I’m so happy that Benny found his furever home! Sadly, there are many more dogs like Benny who are suck in shelters…adopt, don’t shop!
