Shelter Dog Named Cinderella Is Looking For Her Fairy-Tale Ending

Just like the fairy-tale princess Cinderella, a shepherd mix from Egypt was in need of a rescuer.

Second Chance Rescue NYC took in the sweet dog and discovered she had a spinal cord injury that affected her hind legs and limited her mobility. She is able to control her bodily functions but needed some help with getting around. To ensure that Cinderella could live as normal a life as possible, the rescue got her a wheelchair.

The adorable pup is still adjusting to her new wheels and is looking for a patient foster or adopter to show her the way. The shelter posted, “Our sweetheart Cinderella is looking for her Prince Charming. This special needs princess is sure to be the belle of any ball!!”

The special needs girl is hoping to find her fairy-tale ending just like her namesake did. Cinderella has so much love to give and would love to have a family of her own.

“She is looking for a special home that will look past her disability and see her for the wonderful dog that she is. Cinderella has a sweet and silly personality that shines through with patience and understanding.”

Second Change Rescue NYC works tirelessly to save homeless dogs that are in overcrowded shelters, injured, or neglected and finds them loving homes. They say they do it “Because They Matter”.

Special needs pets don’t let their disabilities rule their lives and simply find a way to adapt. This is just another thing we can learn from dogs. Open your heart and home to a special needs pet, it will be one of the best decisions you ever make. Adopting and fostering saves lives, so adopt don’t shop.
