Rescue Cats Fall In Love At Shelter And Now Seek Forever Home Together
It was love at first sight for Tom and Ruby – two rescue cats at RSPCA Warrnambool shelter.
Tom, a 3-year-old domestic shorthair, arrived at the shelter a week after Ruby, a 1-year-old domestic medium-hair, but are now inseparable.
The shelter posted, “Tom & Ruby met in the shelter and now they’re boyfriend & girlfriend! They love each other very much and are looking to continue their new-found romance in their new furever home.”

Ruby is a bit shy at first, but Tom helps her relax and come out of her shell. “I like cuddles and pats, but will let you know when I’m ready for some alone time,” states her profile.
Tom is very affectionate, especially when food is involved. “I’m a big handsome chap who with my girlfriend Ruby, are looking for the perfect patch to call our own.” The outgoing feline’s profile reads, “We don’t ask for much, just a quiet spot on the end of your bed, couch or fireplace & we will shower you with love, chats & affection.”
They really are a purrfect match and now just need a doting family of their own.
Anyone interested in adopting the loving couple is asked to apply via their profiles on the shelter’s website. “Adoption fees are reduced for animals adopted in pairs,” posted RSPCA.
Hundreds of people have already commented on how adorable the pair are and how thankful they are that the shelter is keeping them together. One person wrote, “Love a good love story!”
Another said, ” I hope they find their forever home together. How cute are they. Tom looks like he will always protect Ruby.”
