Dog Has Ridden The Bus To The Park By Herself Each Day For 5 Years
Everyone loves a strong and independent woman. And one adorable black lab and Mastiff mix named Eclipse has proved to the world that she’s a strong and independent pooch who doesn’t need an owner. In fact, this brave girl is more than happy to take herself to the dog park every day without an escort. The Seattle-based dog has been commuting on the bus every day since 2015. The daily ritual is always the same for the pup. She waits at the bus stop for her ride, then when it arrives, she gets on and goes to the park.
This amazing dog has gained a large social media following due to her independent antics. But everything started back in 2015 when Eclipse grew impatient with her owner. The two of them were waiting for the bus in order to get down to the park. The bus arrived, but her owner, Jeff Young, was taking too long to finish smoking his cigarette. That is when Eclipse decided enough was enough and she boarded the bus by herself and went to the park.
She was able to find her way back since she was already used to the route that the two would take. From there, a tradition was born. Now, Eclipse rides the bus to and from the park every day. She’s even got herself a special bus pass that is attached to her collar!
As Young shared, according to DailyMail, “Probably once a week I get a phone call. ‘Hi. I have your dog Eclipse here on 3rd and Bell…I have to tell them, ‘No. She’s fine.’ She knows what she’s doing.”
It looks like there is no stopping this pup. She’s been happily riding the bus for five years, and we have no doubt she’ll be riding it herself for a long time. What an amazingly smart dog this sweet girl is!
