Watch The Amazing Moment When This Rescued Seal Is Released Back Into The Ocean After Months Of Rehab!

A juvenile harbor seal was rescued off the Scusset Beach jetty rocks near the Cape Cod Canal in July. He was found thin with infected wounds and broken bones. If he wasn’t rescued, it’s likely that this poor seal would not have survived.

He was transported to National Marine Life Center where he was treated for his injuries and eventually named Sea Salt. Sea Salt began to show improvement and showed them that he was able to swim, and loved every minute of it.

The time finally came when Sea Salt was ready to be released back into the ocean. He was released back at Scusset Beach, along with two other rescued seals, while 400 people watched.

You, too, can watch Sea Salt’s awesome journey back into the ocean!
