Samsung Releases A New Eco-Friendly TV Box That Turns Into A Cat House
If you are currently at home riding out the pandemic with your cat, then get ready for something amazing coming your way. Samsung is going to be launching their new eco-friendly packaging that is geared towards their customers with cats – these cardboard boxes are meant for “creative reuse,” meaning you can create cat houses!
Yeah, a new flatscreen and a creative DIY? Yes, please!
As cat owners, we know that oftentimes it’s the “trash” that our cats love to play with more than the actual pricy items that we buy them. So now, you don’t have to feel guilty about splurging on yourself and letting your cat have the box.
And thanks to Samsung, you can now satisfy your cat’s craving for sitting inside a box while also getting a little quarantine fun by getting to assemble them something creative out of said box.
What if you could get a TV & receive another furniture piece, free?🤔
You can with #EcoPackage. Discover upcycling ideas with the QR code on the box. Then, use the dot matrix to craft a table, storage, & more.
Look out for an exciting challenge coming your way!

The new packaging that Samsung is rolling out is a part of the company’s Lifestyle TV products – which are “efforts to reduce the environmental footprint.”
The produces are created from eco-friendly corrugated cardboard. Not only are they easily recyclable, but they’re also now perfect for upcycling.
The Samsung website states, “Samsung has applied a dot matrix design on each side of its eco-friendly corrugated cardboard boxes, allowing customers to cut the boxes more easily and assemble them into various other uses, such as small end tables or houses for pets.”

It added, “Included within the packaging is a manual to guide customers on how to make household items out of the cardboard boxes, which can be accessed by scanning the QR code on the box.”
“Owners of The Serif who tend to put shelves and furniture around the TV can build cat houses, magazine racks and even shelves from the cardboard boxes to store household items and electronic devices, including the remote control.”

Additionally, the Executive Vice President and Head of Product Strategy Team of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, Kangwook Chun, mentioned, “Consumers are more likely to purchase from a brand that shares similar fundamentals and values as they do, and with our eco-packaging, we believe that we can provide our customers with a new experience that considers the environment as an important way to express themselves.”

How cool is that? Just make sure you don’t make too much of a fuss out of the new and improved boxes or else your cat will lose interest.
