At just two days old, this deer named Rudie was found in Australia and brought to a vet clinic with half of his front leg missing.

Unfortunately, the vet had to amputate the rest of his leg so it wouldn’t get infected. Now this poor baby deer was without a leg and also without a home.

Rudie healed well from surgery, but the best was yet to come. A nurse came into the vet clinic and fell in love with Rudie. She loved him so much that she decided to adopt him and give him a second chance!

The nurse, along with her dogs, welcomed Rudie into their home. She was a great fit for their family and adjusted well to her new environment.

Rudie might be missing a leg, but he has gained a beautiful new life. He doesn’t let his missing leg stop him. He still runs around and plays with his doggy siblings. The dogs have been there for him as he’s grown up and have showed him the ropes. They helped him get stronger and have brought a lot of comfort to him.

But dogs aren’t the only animals that Rudie gets along with. He also loves the family cat and has made friends with a horse!
