This Abandoned Kitten Found A Hero And Held On Tight

Most people are actively seeking a dog or cat when they head to the shelter. In this case, a rescued kitten sought out a kind-hearted human and refused to be left behind.

Jason Belisha was returning his rental car at Enterprise Rent-A-Car when he happened across a tiny grey kitten huddling beneath a nearby parked car. When Belisha asked him where his family was, the miserable little kitten came right over and started cuddling.

This frequently traveling musician already had a Corgi at home and wasn’t really in the market for another pet. At the same time, he couldn’t leave this poor cat alone in the parking lot either. So Belisha drove the scared little kitten to the nearest animal shelter, which he mistakenly believed would be the best way to ensure this young guy found a safe, forever home.

Unfortunately, the shelter was already at maximum capacity, and seemed loath to take on new kittens. They inexplicably tried to tell Belisha the cat was old enough to live on the streets, where he’d surely spend the rest of his life foraging for scraps, shelter and dodging cars.

This wasn’t good enough for Belisha, who decided to temporarily foster the kitten until he could find him a more permanent situation. Since then, this lonely guy has grown into a healthy young cat, become best friends with Belisha’s Corgi, and found his forever home! Congratulations!
