This Hotel In Aspen Has Its Own Bernese Mountain Dog Who Will Tuck You In At Night

If finding yourself lost in the Colorado wilderness in winter is not what you’d consider a relaxing vacation, would warming up next to a big Bernese Mountain Dog change your mind?

Kitty Jacob Astor IV is the furriest resident at the St. Regis Aspen Resort and the first dog to live there. She was born in July 2018, and announced as the St. Regis first brand dog around Christmas.

Named after the hotel’s founder, John Jacob Astor IV, Kitty loves greeting guests and playing with young ones, Apartment Therapy reports. He will even stop by your suite to tuck you in at night!

Kitty has been interacting with hotel guests all winter, and there are plenty of Instagram images to prove it. But he’s not content staying indoors all day. There are plenty of snowy hills to explore, and Kitty loves to run the trails.

If you haven’t booked your trip to Aspen yet, put it on your list, and get your whole family ready. The best part about the St. Regis isn’t Kitty’s warm grin, but the fact that all pets are welcome at the hotel. For a one-time $25 fee and a $25 as day, the St. Regis allows guests to bring their dogs.

While you hit the slopes and check out Aspen’s cultural attractions, your canine companion can rest in luxury, or get outfitted for adventure in the hotel’s own dog hiking gear. They’ll even supply you with poop bags during your stay.
