Reese Witherspoon Does Yoga With Her Dogs During Lockdown
What has everyone been getting up to during the pandemic? Now that so many of us are spending time indoors, we have to come up with creative ways of keeping busy. And for Reese Witherspoon, it looks like she’s been doing yoga with her dogs.
In a photo on her Instagram, the star was shown sitting on her yoga mat, joined by Hank and Lou, her two precious pups. In the picture, she captioned the family moment as, “I call this #treatpose 🧘♀️.”
And it was appropriately captioned too since the two dogs looked much more interested in waiting for a handout than taking up yoga. But then again, yoga isn’t for everyone.
This isn’t the first time that the celebrity has featured her dogs in her Instagram feed. In fact, since she’s been sharing more looks at her life in quarantine, and her bulldog, Lou, has been a frequent guest in her posts. She’s even officially called him her “work from home buddy.”
Witherspoon, a mom of three, has also been very vocal about what it is like to be both a parent and a businesswoman, trying to keep it all together while working from home during the pandemic. And she’s been funny about it too, sharing a hilarious picture of herself hiding in the closet trying to get work down. However, in the photo she isn’t alone, as her loyal Lou isn’t far off.
She commented on the photo, “Welcome to my new WFH situation! Quiet and (sort of) private. ✅ But my assistant smells like dog food..”
Witherspoon appeared on CBS This Morning earlier in the month, where she revealed that even though it looks like she’s got it all, she still faces anxiety.
As she candidly revealed, “I’ll lay on the floor and cry or I’ll sit in my car and cry. Sometimes I’m totally overwhelmed.”
The successful Witherspoon isn’t just an actress, she’s also the producer of her company, Hello Sunshine. Sharing with the morning talk show, Witherspoon revealed that she is driven by a desire to succeed at making Hollywood a better place for women.
She stated, “I really want to change things. I see younger women in our industry and I want them to have a better experience… I want to see that they have a beautiful idea of what the future could hold. I will put in the hours and I bet on myself. I’m my own lottery ticket. I always think that, you know. If no one else shows up, I know I will show up and I know I will do the work.”
That wasn’t the only place though where Witherspoon got candid about life in quarantine. She also appeared on Miley Cyrus’ Instagram Live talk show Bright Minded: Live With Miley. There, she spoke openly about the manner in which her family was dealing with social distancing and lockdown. As she shared with Miley, they’d been surviving being stuck indoors by making sure their family of five was able to make time and space for each person.
“I think it’s really important to designate space,” she said. Then Witherspoon added, “My husband and I are both working from home and all three kids are doing school online. So everybody has a room that has a little area and there’s a privacy sign there, so when the privacy sign is on and your headphones are on, you can’t interrupt.”
But more realistically, the real secret is probably morning yoga with the dogs. That seems like the perfect way to stay sane while waiting for the lockdown to lift.
