Hope For Paws received a call about an abandoned dog who was in desperate need of help. When rescuers arrived, they found the dog tied to the neighbor’s porch.

The neighbor fed her for months, but would never let her touch her. He finally got ahold of her and kept her on his porch to keep her from running off.

The dog was in poor condition. She was very afraid and was filthy and matted. But when rescuers got there, it’s like she flipped a switch. She finally let people pet her; it’s like she knew she was being saved.

They put the leash around her and carried her to their car to bring her back to their animal clinic. They named this sweet little dog Kona. Once they arrived at the clinic, Kona laid down and nearly fell asleep as rescuers began shaving off her matts. She was so tired from living on the streets and fending for herself. Then they gave her a bath to wash off all of the dirt and fleas.

After she was clean, she looked like a whole new dog! She felt much better, but she was still a little shy. A few weeks later, her hair grew back in and she was an adorable fluffy pup! And the best part? Pal Rescue helped her find a loving forever home! Her new family absolutely adores her and she is doing great in her new home.
