Cop Does Push-Up Challenge For Veteran Suicide Awareness, But This Time His K9 Joins Him!

As you’ve probably seen, there is a push-up challenge that has been circulating the internet to honor those who serve and to raise awareness for veteran suicide prevention through education and empowerment. For this challenge, people have been completing 22 push-ups a day (or however many they’d like), and posting the video online. On average, 22 veterans are killed by suicide every day. 22KILL is a global movement, bridging the gap between veterans and civilians to build a community of support. They work to raise awareness to the suicide epidemic and to educate the public on mental health issues such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

PC Steve Hopwood from Avon and Somerset Police joined in on the challenge and his push-up video was posted on the Police K-9 Unit Facebook page. But while Officer Hopwood is doing the push-ups, he is not alone! His police dog, Monty, decided to join in on the challenge with him and does push-ups alongside of him.
