Dogs Rescued From A Horrible Puppy Mill Were All Adopted. A Year Later, They Got A Sweet Reunion!

The Cherokee County Animal Shelter and Cherokee Marshal’s Office busted a giant puppy mill that had been operating in Georgia since the 1980s. The animals were taken to the shelter where they were examined and treated. Once they were healthy, they were put up for adoption.

There were dogs of all breeds and sizes, including newborn puppies. Many of the dogs were still pregnant, and wound up having their puppies right after they were rescued. In the video below, you’ll see the deplorable conditions that the dogs were living in and how they got rescued. Once the pups were healthy enough, the shelter held an adoption day where people were lined up around the corner to pick out a dog to bring home. One year later, all of the dogs were brought together for a reunion!

The owners of the puppy mill pleaded guilty to 25 charges of animal cruelty and were sentenced to 25 consecutive years of probation.
