The Humane Society Exposes The Truth About Puppy Mills And The Lives Of The Dogs That Live There!
In the video below the Humane Society of the United States gives a brief view into the reality of puppy mills. A puppy mill is a place of business that breeds dogs at an alarming rate. It is pretty much considered common knowledge that puppy mill dogs do not receive adequate care and can be sickly. Through the video below, the Humane Society is bringing awareness of the horrors that pups face when they are bred and live in puppy mills.
As shown in the video, puppy mills are overcrowded. The pups live in small dirty crates that are shared by many. And according to the Humane Society, these pups are underfed and have little to no human interaction, which leads to these pups being timid and shy. According to the video, more often than not, pups born and raised in puppy mills haven’t even seen grass before! The pups raised in places like the one in the video below are frightened of everything because the only things they know are their overcrowded wire crates and the dirt that surrounds them. It is a very sad life to lead.
Melanie Kahn of the Humane Society goes on to explain that many don’t even realize that, when they purchase a pup from a pet store, they are at risk purchasing a puppy mill pooch. This is because puppy mills tend to sell their dogs to pet stores. She urges the viewers to help stop puppy mills by purchasing any future pups from either reputable breeders or animal shelters. Everyone can do their part in helping stop the abuse that pups face at the hands of puppy mills.
