He Had A Facial Deformity And Defied All Odds. Just Wait Until You See Him Give Kisses!Ashley Maisano
This Pit Bull, named Clark Kent, was surrendered by his family to the Manhattan Animal Care Center. He had facial bone masses and was suffering from kennel cough, but was still as happy as can be. He was put on the euthanasia list but Kylie Edmond, co-founder of Rock & Rawhide, a non-profit that delivers toys and other goods to shelter animals in need, saved his life.
She brought him to the Animal Medical Center of NYC where she learned that he also had double pneumonia. He was in critical condition but recovered well. Despite all of his hardships, Clark Kent never stopped wagging his tail. He was so loving and friendly to everyone he met. He is in a foster home now but is looking for a new one, or a furever home, since this one is too far from his vet in NYC. He goes to the vet often where he’ll be neutered and his bone masses will be diagnosed and treated.
While in his current foster home, he enjoys the company of his three-year-old human foster sister. Edmond sees Clark Kent being a therapy dog one day for children with abnormal features. Despite his unusual looks, he is sweet as pie! He’s great with kids and gets along well with other dogs.
