These Veterans Struggled To Get Through Daily Life. Then, These Dogs Came Along And Saved Them…

According to the Patriotic Service Dog Foundation, an estimated 460,000 veterans from the Iraq and Afghanistan war alone, suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder or Traumatic Brain Injury. This can lead to sleeplessness, depression, anger, anxiety and isolation. Every day, 22 veterans in America commit suicide. This foundation’s goal is to reduce that number from “22 to Zero.”

In their efforts, they train service dogs to provide veterans with, for little to no cost. These dogs help them in their everyday lives by making them feel more comfortable, less anxious and gives them something to smile about. Most of these veterans have been able to ween off their medications while having these dogs. Learn more about it in the video below:
