She Adds Her Ingredients Into Molds. The End Result? A Patriotic Treat Your Pups Will LOVE!Ashley Maisano
There are a million recipes and snacks for humans to enjoy for the Fourth of July, but our furry best friends would love to join in on the yummy celebration as well! Here is a patriotic treat from “Gone to the Snow Dogs,” that is easy to make that your pups will LOVE!
Ingredients: ½ cup fresh strawberries, ½ cup fresh blueberries, ½ cup fresh coconut , 1 ½ cup plain yogurt, 6 dog jerky treats, Popsicle molds
First, puree a handful of the strawberries. Take the remaining strawberries and chop them into small pieces. Set them aside in a small bowl. Then, take a handful of the blueberries and puree them as well. Toss a few whole ones on top and set them aside in a separate small bowl, too. Next, puree all of the coconut. (It’s okay if it remains somewhat chunky). Place that aside in another small bowl. Add ½ cup of plain yogurt to each bowl of prepared ingredients and stir them together. That should leave you with red, white and blue for the popsicles. Layer a bit of each color into the molds. Stick the dog jerky treats down into the molds to use as the popsicle’s sticks. Put them in the freezer for a few hours and voila, your dog’s very own patriotic pupsicle!
