A Parrot With A Deformed Beak Can Now Eat Again Thanks To THIS Amazing Technology!

Gigi, a Macaw Parrot, was found by Brazilian authorities, abandoned in southeastern Sao Paulo, Brazil, earlier this year. They soon learned that she was suffering from a rare medical condition where her beak never stops growing. Her condition made it impossible for her to eat. Thanks to some awesome technology, Gigi is eating solid foods again!

Thanks to three veterinarians and 3D designer Cicero Moraes, Gigi was just recently fitted with the world’s first 3D-printed titanium parrot beak! They made this beak after realizing that a regular plastic beak wouldn’t be adequate enough to help her crack and eat hard foods. She is now recovering well at the Center for Research and Screening of Wild Animals at Unimonte, a university in Santos. Watch her story below:
