Cat Family Helps Keep Tiny Orphaned Puppy Alive After It Arrives At Shelter
A two-day-old puppy tragically lost his mother when she was struck by a car. After the mother passed, the puppy was brought to a shelter to be saved.
The puppy arrived at Michigan Humane Society in need of a foster mom. A foster family in Michigan was taking care of a litter of kittens with their nursing mother and thought to try to place the tiny pup with them. The sweet cat took in the orphaned puppy as one of her own.
The tiny puppy cuddled with the kittens and with his new foster mom. His new family is teaching him how to socialize. This proves that dogs and cats can get along.
A mother’s love can come in so many different forms and it’s not always biological. Thanks to Michigan Humane Society and this foster family, they were able to make this pup’s transition a lot less stressful. SO SWEET!

The Michigan Humane Society and shelters across the country have millions of puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats that are adoptable, and all in need of a forever home. Will you be the one to rescue them and show them the love they deserve?
If adoption is out of the question, fostering a shelter pet can provide them with stability as they adjust to a new life. And if you cannot bring pets into your home at all, volunteering at a shelter is a great way to show these animals how much you truly care.
There are so many ways to help shelter animals. No effort goes unnoticed when it comes to our furry friends!
