This Girl Has An Incurable Condition. But Now, These Two Are Saving Each Other…

Zacarri Nolan isn’t your typical three-year-old. She is a patient at the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital and has Osteogenesis Imperfecta, also known as Brittle Bone Syndrome. Because of this disease, she suffered 17 fractures and had to have seven surgeries. There is no cure for this condition, but there is something that could help. And that’s where Trick the dog comes in.

Trick is a rescue dog from Southside Animal Shelter in Indianapolis. Medical Mutts, an organization that puts shelter dogs through training to make them more adoptable, paired Trick with Zacarri in the hopes that he could make her life a little easier. Trick is in the process of being trained for the role, but the two of them get along great! Trick will be able to do things such as pick up fallen items for Zacarri, and alert people in case of a medical emergency.
