8-Year-Old Asked Santa For Pet Food To Donate Instead Of Toys

Landyn Wadsworth is a very selfless 8-year-old whose Christmas wish was to help the cats and dogs living at the Tri-Cities Animal Shelter in Pasco, Washington. Instead of gifts, for Christmas, this girl asked for money in order to buy pet food.

And she managed to bring quite the haul with her.

On Christmas Eve, the shelter posted a picture of Landyn standing beside a cart stacked high with dog and cat food – it was taller than she was! And that wasn’t all, as she also brought with her a giant sack of other supplies for the animals at the shelter.

Landyn's wish for Christmas was food donations for the shelter and it looks like her wish came true!! We are so grateful for your kindness and I'm sure the dogs and cats are too!!

As KEPR – a CNN affiliate – reported, Landyn had raised enough money to buy 600 pounds of food for the shelter.

And this is her third year of collecting presents for the animals at the shelter.

According to KEPR, her mother Alisha stated that when Landyn first visited the shelter in 2016, she was and was sad how so many animals didn’t have homes for Christmas.

And there is no stopping this sweet child, as she’s already begun her collection for next year’s donations.

Way to go Landyn!
