Nothing makes me happier than seeing an animal rescued. ALL animals deserve to be safe and out of harm’s way. Of course, accidents happen, and when they do, it’s important for us to be willing to step in and help those in need. After all, we’re all in this life together, and we would expect someone to help us too if we were in trouble.

Isn’t great to know that there are so many of us out there that are willing to work tirelessly to ensure that animals get a fair shot at living a good life? It just restores your faith in humanity to see someone save an animal, doesn’t it?

Take these fine gentleman for instance… I am sure they didn’t plan on rescuing a drowning koala that they found struggling to swim to shore. But hey, they saw an animal in need and they acted on their impulse to help.

They didn’t hesitate, even though they could have been scratched, or worse, by the koala as he struggled to find something to grip onto. But waiting for backup wasn’t really an option; it would have been too late.

Instead, they attempted to get him to hold onto a tree branch, and when that didn’t work, one of the men waded deeper into the water and carefully held the cute critter by the scruff of his neck to lift him to shore.

Now, this sweet koala has his whole life ahead of him. Kinda makes you want to jump through the screen and give these Aussies a giant hug of appreciation, right? ME TOO!
