Bride Walks Down The Aisle Carrying Her Blind Rescue Dog In Place Of A Bouquet

More and more couples are incorporating their beloved pets into their weddings. This seems like a no-brainer, because why wouldn’t you want your best friends by your side on such a special day.

A bride in Ireland made sure that all eight of the couple’s rescue dogs were part of their wedding. Samantha Kelly and Ronan from County Louth in Ireland, knew their wedding would not be complete unless all of their rescue dogs were in attendance.

Many of the dogs have physical or health issues ranging from blindness to leg deformities.

When Ronan first met Samantha she had three rescue dogs, but that was five years ago. Since then the couple has adopted five additional special needs dogs.

Lily, Jack and Toby all 12-years-old and with different ailments were joined by the couple’s two 8-year-old Pomeranians Bonnie and Jesse at the wedding. Their 3-year-old Staffie named Barney kept the others company during the ceremony.

Their 12-year-old Jack Russell named Pat entertained guests as he sported a tux and rolled down the aisle in his wheelchair.

When it was time for Samantha to walk down the aisle, she opted to carry her blind 17-year-old Papillon, Louisa – instead of a bouquet. The beautiful bride was dressed in a fairy-tale gown and married on the couple’s country estate home.

People are in love with the romantic wedding. One person wrote, “Hands down the best wedding….. congrats and thank you for rescuing all your beautiful pups.” Another said, “What a great pair! Rescuing a dog is great but rescuing a disabled animal takes a lot of love, patience, and money. Here’s to a long, happy marriage full of puppy kisses.”

All of the dogs posed for pictures with the newlyweds and were adored by all the guests. This is a trend that we hope turns into a wedding tradition. Dogs and cats make our lives whole and look great in wedding photos.
