IKEA Welcomes Stray Dogs Into The Store To Escape The Cold

IKEA is known for their unique furniture and home accessories, but they also have a huge heart for animals. The store in Catania, Italy has opened its doors to stray dogs and the videos are going viral.

The staff at this location are going above and beyond for homeless dogs. Aside from getting them out of the cold and letting them sleep on rugs in the store, they are feeding and even adopting them. Some of the adorable dogs have been adopted by staff and customers.

A video posted by Vittoria Taccia Gabrielli on Facebook showed some of the stray dogs lounging in the Christmas store display. The video went viral with over a million views. The dogs were just showing how well behaved they are and they would be perfect in a home of their own. People from around the world are praising the store and its staff for caring for the stray dogs.

“A nice initiative to give shelter to strays while outside raining….. all this happens in Ikea’s mall (Catania)…… among the awe of many passers-by,” was the caption posted with the viral video.

One person commented, “I returned this evening from Sicily and unfortunately I had to see that the stray is widespread, I wanted to save all those dogs 🐶 . Beautiful initiative.”

Another person from Germany commented, “I’m overwhelmed by so much love, and understanding, for the poor dogs.”

“We should all learn something from this act of kindness! Love it!,” posted another on Instagram.

It takes nothing from a human to show compassion and kindness to animals. Thank you to the staff for caring!
