This Hotel Has A Cute Resident Kitten With A Dedicated Cat Committee To Care For Her
There is nothing quite like traveling, except, perhaps, having a furry cat by your side. Now, you can have your cake and eat it too. If you are looking for a place to stay in London with plenty of frills and felines, we have the choice that is right for you.
As far as luxury hotels are concerned, Lanesborough is one that certainly should not be overlooked. It was named as the best hotel in London by Travel + Leisure in 2019 and is located in a world-class shopping district. It is more than just location and amenities, there is another reason to visit.
We are talking about a resident kitten that is absolutely adorable.
In June, a tiny Siberian Forest Cat came to The Lanesborough. Her name is Lilibet and she is undoubtedly a favorite employee at the hotel. The Lanesborough fits in quite nicely with the other hotels in the Oetker Hotel Collection which are well known for having felines on staff.
The Lanesborough website explains that Lilibet is now a part of the hotel staff, along with other cats, including Burmese cat Fa-Raon from Le Bristol Paris and Kléopatre from Brenners Park-Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden.
If you are concerned because of cat allergies, there is no need for you to be worried. Siberians are hypoallergenic and lovely animals, according to the hotel’s website.
Tatler reports that Lilibet is named after Queen Elizabeth II. The people who are most familiar with the Queen will call her Lilibet. It seems as if she is living up to the reputation, lounging around and looking regal to all who visit.
Nobody is really sure what type of duties Lilibet has in the hotel. One thing is certain, the fact that she greets the guests and works as an ambassador means that she is earning her kibbles. She also has the Cat Committee, a group of employees that volunteer to care for her while they are on shift.
You can always look at the Lanesborough’s Instagram page if you’d like to learn more.
