A Heron Got Caught In Fishing Line, Tearing Up His Wing. But At 3:09, His Resiliency Soared!
Wildlife Aid received a call about a heron that was stuck in netting in someone’s garden in their backyard. Simon, one of their rescuers, responded immediately to take a closer look. It turns out the poor bird was stuck in fishing line, which he had to cut off.
It had damaged some of the feathers on his wing and made his skin very raw, so Simon brought him back to their care center to get him taken care of. They cleaned the wound up and put him on antibiotics. They also fed him because he was very thin. A few days later, he was ready to be released! They kept an eye on him until he began flying to make sure his wing was better, and it was!
