Woman Crafts Beautiful Little Bird Homes For Her Feathered Guests
When you look at these pictures, you might think it’s just a neatly furnished little house, decorated with cute framed pictures on the walls.
But then when you zoom out, you realize that this “little” house is much smaller than you thought; small enough for a bird. That’s because it is.
Wildlife illustrator Jada Fitch makes these beautiful little birdhouses that resemble real houses. As you can see, she puts a lot of work into them, and her awesome talent is showcased in each and every one.
Fitch is an avid bird-watcher and always loved to take pictures of birds who visited her backyard, but they usually never came close enough for her to get a great shot up close.
This is when Fitch decided to make these amazing birdhouses to tape to her windows so that birds would feel more comfortable visiting up close. Instead of making the insides plain, she decided to make them more inviting.
Fitch hand-painted each house, with staircases, furniture and even bird portraits on the wall. After finishing the decorating, she places some seeds inside to attract the birds.
It took a little while for the birds to check the houses out, but eventually they began poking their heads inside. Fitch had her camera phone set up on a stack of books so that she’d be ready whenever a feathered visitor dropped in.
Each one of Fitch’s creations has a different theme. One house is designed like a hobbit’s home, while another is a haunted mansion-themed house, among many others.
You can see more of Fitch’s genius work on her Facebook and Instagram pages. Her idea has become so popular, that now she plans to make all-weather versions of her bird houses to sell online. For more info, you can visit Fitch’s website here.
