Dog Rescued With Two Broken Legs

Life had not been kind to a dog named Rocket. Early in life, he suffered two broken legs that were never treated. The legs healed improperly, and were once again damaged when he was found limping alongside a road in Oklahoma.

Haven of Hope Rescue Foundation of Oklahoma City, OK, spotted the dog and picked him up. The next day, the dog was in excruciating pain and was brought to a vet. A vet examined him and said the only cure for the sweet boy was medication and low activity for the remainder of his life.

No one knows how the poor dog broke his legs, but the resilient boy was in good hands now. Rocket enjoyed taking life a little slower. After the pain subsided, he was ready to find a forever home, and that is exactly what he found.

A family met him and instantly fell in love with him. He now spends his days on a farm surrounded by other animals and people that love him.

Haven of Hope Rescue thanks Greatergood.org’s Rescue Bank Program stating, “Rescue Bank has given us an amazing gift by opening the door to the ability to feed our rescue kids high-quality dog food from their partner dog food companies. This gives us more funds for treatment, medicines, supplies, training and behavioral assessments, giving us the ability to save more lives.”
