Security Camera Catches Golden Retriever Climbing Ladder To Join Owner On Roof Of Home

Dogs are loyal companions who will never leave our sides, no matter the obstacles or challenges they face.

A golden retriever is going viral for his adventurous climb up a ladder to join his dad on the roof.

Vince Matteson of Portland, Oregon is the proud dad to two 2-year-old golden retrievers, Ace and Bo. Ace arrived as a puppy and Bo was adopted from Golden Bond Rescue. Both dogs are described as “Certified Good Boys”.

Matteson was recently on the roof of his home removing Christmas decorations when he spotted Ace by his side.

A security camera captured Ace climbing the same ladder Matteson used to get on the roof to lend a helping paw. Bo watched as his brother scaled the ladder but decided to sit this adventure out.

In the video shared by CBS This Morning, Matteson can be heard saying, “Ace climbs up this whole ladder by himself and is now on top of the roof.”

Clearly shocked and amazed, Matteson called his roommate for help in safely bringing Ace down the ladder.

Matteson commented, “Ace is a wild pup.”

He teased fans by first posting the video of Ace climbing the ladder in reverse, so it looked like the dog was climbing down the ladder by himself. But the real footage was posted in a second video. People were amazed by the dog’s will to climb the ladder and at Matteson’s roommate for carrying Ace down the ladder while wearing Crocs.

“@crocs is the real MVP here! Plenty of grip while climbing down,” wrote Matteson.

The adventures continue on social media so be sure to follow Ace and Bo on Instagram and TikTok.
