Woman Transforms Dog Crate Into Impressive Gingerbread Doghouse And Shares DIY Video

While most people transform their homes into winter wonderlands for the holidays, not many decorate their dog’s crate. But many more are giving it a try after a woman shared a DIY video on how she turned a dog crate into an impressive gingerbread doghouse.

Sarah, the proud mom to two beautiful German Shepherds – Stormi and Wolfie, took holiday decorating to a whole new level with her gingerbread doghouse. She posted a short DIY video on her TikTok page, which has already received over 500k views.

No detail was spared in the creation of this masterpiece. Sarah covered the crate in kraft paper, used spray foam to create snow, added bright-colored pompoms for gumdrops, and LED Christmas lights. She even bought a candy cane stripped extension cord to complete the look.

“Gingerbread DOGHOUSE… Never want to take this apart,” she wrote.

Since it looks good enough to eat, Sarah is keeping a close eye on her pups. Many followers said their dogs would attempt to eat it or destroy it, but so far Stormi and Wolfie have remained on the nice list.

While the video clip makes the project look simple, Sarah said it was a bigger project than she expected – but totally worth it.

Both dogs ‘assisted’ in the project and her most important tip was to remember to “pet your dog in this process.”

Countless people asked what products she used and wanted more information, so she posted the entire DIY video on YouTube.

Stormi loves her holiday home and is seen sporting a Christmas sweater inside her festive abode in the viral video. “She actually wants to sleep in it too,” said Sarah.
