The beloved cast member of “Fuller House,” Cosmo the dog, has passed away. On Monday, the Golden Retriever underwent surgery but passed away from complications – the tragedy was announced via Twitter.

It was ended with a yellow heart emoji to symbolize Cosmo’s fur. Fans immediately began expressing their sadness at the loss.
“Oh my gosh, Rest Easy Cosmo!!” one fan wrote with heart emojis. “Prayers to the family.”
Another added, “I’m so sorry for the loss of your special cast member and part of the Fuller family.”
And a third person sent a tweet that read, “Oh no, so sad. Run with the [rest] of the doggies that have gone before you Cosmo. You are free.”

Candace Cameron-Bure, one of the cast members, expressed sadness with her own series of tweets.
“So much love. Our sweet boy Cosmo is now running around in doggie heaven. I imagine he’s playing with Comet right now,” she wrote. “Cosmo has been in ‘Fuller House’ since the start and we are heartbroken that he passed away during surgery complications. You’ll be so missed love bug.”
Since the start of “Fuller House,” Cosmo has been an important part of the show – starting off as just a puppy. He first appeared in the show’s sneak peak, being shown listening to Uncle Jesse who is portrayed by John Stamos. While the series progressed, he quickly won over fans.
Cosmo was even great-grandson of Comet, the dog who was in the original series of “Full House.” Through this connection, it was easy to see how fans would really come to love him.
“Fuller House” Season 5 has already been made, meaning there will be no need to replace Cosmo, or mourn him on the show itself. However, there will probably be either a title card or remembrance dedication in the series in order to remember the beloved cast member.
The first part of “Fuller House” has already been released on Netflix as of December 6th, however the final episodes will be released in early 2020.
