Frankie Muniz’ Cat Blamed For Destroying Home In Flood
Frankie Muniz, titular star of “Malcolm in the Middle,” has lost his home to a flood caused by his cat.
Muniz left his cat alone at hone for several days while he traveled to France for his uncle Skip’s funeral. During this time, the cat managed to turn a faucet on the fourth floor of Muniz’ five-story brownstone.
Muniz returned to find his home and most of his possessions destroyed.

Muniz cat sestroyed the actor’s home while he was away in France.
“I arrived home from my uncle’s funeral to find 4 of my 5 story brownstone home under 3 feet of water,” Muniz posted to Twitter. “Everything I own, destroyed. Every wall, piece of artwork, personal photos, furniture… All because my cat accidentally turned on a sink a few days ago while we were gone.”
Muniz said he owed his girlfriend, Paige Price, a debt of gratitude for supporting him through the trying time.
Thank God I have @paigey_price to help me get through this. I'd be lost without her. She's so strong and exactly what I need.

Muniz, who currently manages the electronic pop band Astro Lasso, vented his frustrations on Twitter, to approximately 250,000 followers, before other media outlets began sharing the child actor’s story.
I know this sounds ridiculous, but I swear it's true. You wouldn't believe the destruction.

To make matters worse, while Muniz’ home is being gutted and renovated, a fire alarm was set off in the hotel where he was staying.
“This has been an eventful week,” Muniz tweeted.
Just woke up to fire alarms and had to evacuate the hotel we are staying in because of what happened to our house. This has been an eventful week.

More than a few Twitter users have questioned why Muniz would leave his cat alone for more than four days.
“I feel really bad for you, I would be devastated in your position. However, I gotta ask, not criticizing, but why did you leave your cat alone instead of boarding it?” asked @PhrynneChilds. “Cat could have got sick, been injured, house catch fire. How is the cat by the way.”
what kind of person leaves a pet alone for 4 days? Did someone call the ASPCA on him. π

Cats left on their own need plenty of water, of course. Could it be that Muniz’ furry friend was just trying to get a clean drink?
According to MyPet.com, “Cats who eat dry food that you can make readily available may be left on their own for 24-48 hours as long as fresh water is accessible as well. Beyond that time frame, water may get too dirty to drink and the litter box full.”
