Frail Kitten Uses All His Strength To Cry For Help

A newborn kitten was found abandoned on a farm near the woods in Montreal, Canada. A man passing-by heard the kitten’s cry for help and rushed to save him. When he found the frail kitten he was cold to the touch, but meowing with all his strength.

The kitten was so young that he could not hear or see yet. The man looked around for other kittens or a mother cat, but he did not find them. He scooped up the tiny kitten and rushed him to Chatons Orphelins Montréal, after contacting a veterinary tech, Jessica, that volunteered at the rescue.

Jessica immediately started to feed the 86 gram kitten, one drop at a time, in an attempt to slowly warm him up. Although the kitten was dehydrated and underweight, Jessica refused to give up hope. She named the tiny kitten Woody, since he was found in the woods.

Woody proved to be a fighter and ate like a champ. After two weeks of constant care and feeding, he doubled in size and was on the road to recovery.

At this point, the rescue found a loving foster home for Woody to continue to grow. “He loves being held and cuddled, and he likes to nap on our shoulder if we are on the computer,” the rescue told Love Meow.

The resilient kitten continued to grow and transformed into a friendly boy who loves everyone. “Woody loves everyone, human and furry kind. He adapts well to change and is very easy-going.” He is available for adoption and waiting for a loving forever home.

The 11-week-old kitten “is a little miracle”. He is described by the rescue as, “Woody is kind and mischievous.” He refused to give up and now loves to give kisses. If you are interested in adopting Woody, you can contact Chatons Orphelins Montréal on Facebook.
