An Elephant Calf Fell Into An Uncovered Drain. His Rescue Had Me At The Edge Of My Seat!

An elephant calf fell into in an uncovered drain in Sri Lanka’s Hambantota port and was unable to get out on his own. Thankfully, local workers discovered the calf and worked together with wildlife officials to try and get him out.

Of course the rescue was not easy. The elephant was extremely heavy, and it took an array of tools to lift the baby out. He was then taken for treatment for a suspected broken leg, but other than that is doing fine. Watch the incredible rescue in the video below:
