Dagger II, a three-year-old Black Lab-Golden Retriever mix  from Massapequa, New York, is one talented pup! His owner, Yvonne Dagger, has trained him since he was a puppy but his fear of going up and down stairs disqualified him from his originally intended career path of becoming an assistance dog to people with disabilities. During his training, he learned how to push drawers and doors closed and hold objects in his mouth. When he no longer was becoming a service dog, he put his skills to good use and became “DogVinci!”

Yvonne is a painter, and oftentimes Dagger II would come into her studio and lay next to her while she painted. One day he kept nudging her, so she came up with the idea to let him paint. And boy was it a success! He holds the paintbrush in his mouth and paints paw-some pictures! The paintings have made Dagger II quite the popular pup on social media. His paintings have sold across the country for hundreds of dollars! All of the proceeds go toward canine causes, such as Canine Companions for Independence. You can follow Dagger II and his work on his Facebook page.
