A sweet Doberman was found wandering Birmingham New Street station alone. The dog was brought to a vet to check for a microchip to locate his owners.

Luckily, he did have a chip, but there was no name or number listed. The vet was shocked when the chip traced back to Huddersfield, a three-hour journey from there.

The volunteers figured he caught the train in Huddersfield and switched in Manchester Piccadilly. This clever dog somehow changed trains undetected.

The mystery dog stayed at Hilbrae Pets Hotel and Stray Kennels in Telford, Shropshire until the owners were found. The shelter posted his story on Facebook and over 19,000 people have shared the post.

The shelter posted on their page, “He is a lovely boy and we would love to get him home.”

All the social media shared helped because Diesel is home! According to the shelter’s Facebook page, “Diesel the Dobermann [sic] has now been collected by his owners and has gone back home to Huddersfield. He was in the care of a relative who apparently let his owners down.”
