Dog Gets A Massage Every Day From The Neighbor’s Dog

I think that every dog owner would readily admit that dogs are brilliant. That includes an eight-month-old puppy named Beau who knows what she wants and knows how to get it.

Beaù is absolutely in love with her human mom, Kayleigh Burrowes, but it also seems that she has a thing for the next-door neighbor. “She’s is so hyper all the time and loves snuggles,” Burrowes told The Dodo. “[She’s] super friendly with all the neighbor’s dogs, but has a soft spot for Rocco.”

After the meeting Rocco a few months ago, the two became friends instantly. There may be a size difference between the two dogs but they don’t let that stand in the way. It seems as if Rocco was missing his old friend, Jak, a dog that had recently passed away. The fact that the Staffordshire bull terrier was playful seemed to help.

“She met him as soon as she was allowed outside and they automatically clicked,” Burrowes said, according to The Dodo. “[Rocco] really missed Jak as they were really close so Beaù made it easier.”

Burrowes didn’t give it much thought until she happened to see Rocco giving a backrub through the fence to her dog, Beaù.

“One day, I was sitting on my sofa then I looked out the patio door and Rocco was massaging Beaù,” Burrowes said. “I thought I was seeing things for a second, but now they won’t stop.”

Burrowes couldn’t resist taking a video when she saw what was going on. After being posted on Facebook, the video went viral.

Beaù is known for enjoying a good scratch behind the ears and Rocco was all too happy to provide what she wanted. From the way that Rocco is wagging his tail, it doesn’t seem as if he minds having the job.

“The massaging could go on for as long as Beaù wants him to,” Burrowes said. “It’s a daily thing now.”

Although the favor is not necessarily returned, Beaù does show plenty of love. Rocco will ask for a massage in return, but that hasn’t happened yet.

The funny thing is, these two dogs are showing us just what best friends look like. If she didn’t call Beaù inside, they would probably be out there all day at the fence.
