Did you watch the Golden Globes Sunday night? Actors, filmmakers and TV folks were awarded for their performances, but one pup briefly stole the show. Uggie, the Jack Russell Terrier who has appeared in three movies, gave viewers a glimpse of his top-notch skills in the press room after “The Artist” won best musical or comedy, one of its three awards.

Uggie plays “Jack” in the film. He won the Palm Dog Award at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. The nine-year-old terrier has his own Twitter account, and he’s garnering some legitimate Oscar buzz. If you think Uggie deserves serious consideration, check out the Facebook page!

Finally, what post about Uggie would be complete without a video of the little guy? He recently visited The Guardian‘s (a British daily newspaper) offices.
