Angry Mama Elephant Charges A Pack of Wild Dogs That Snapped At Her Calf

Talk about maternal instincts! When a pack of wild dogs snaps at an elephant calf’s heels, this elephant mom says “Enough is enough!” Fed up with the pesky pack’s harassing.

She decides it is time for some action and charges headlong into them while her calf stays safely behind her. The idea of being stamped under the feet of of a 1,000-pound tusker doesn’t appeal to the dogs apparently, and they scatter and run for their lives.

Mama lets out a warning roar and then continues to charge the wild dogs until they disperse. The calf stayed close behind its mother and watched intently as she scared them off.

This just goes to show that there is almost nothing that can keep a mother elephant from protecting her precious offspring. Seeing this happen in the wild is just such a treat!
