Cat Likes Licking Her Owner’s Face But Is Disgusted When The Favor Is Returned
Ernest Hemingway has a famous quote, “A cat has absolute emotional honesty: human beings, for one reason or another, may hide their feelings, but a cat does not.” This statement holds true when describing a viral video involving a cat and its owner.
In the video, tweeted by @ColtonCarlyle, a man is getting his nose licked by his cat. When Carlyle tries to reciprocate the gesture, the cat sees his mouth wide open and backs away in a panic.
The cat is NOT ok with what is going on and seems almost confused as to why her owner would want to lick her face.

According to Animal Planet, when a cat licks something it is trying to stake its claim. While the cat likes to “own” the human, it does not want the human claiming ownership of her.
Carlyle later tweeted that this isn’t the first time, “I tend to lick her back when she becomes annoying lol she knows and will run away and stop bothering me for a couple of hours”.
