Cat Helps Pregnant Goat In Viral Video

There is no arguing that a cat’s purr can soothe any pain. Add in their ability to sense when a person or animal is in need and you have a perfect animal. A few days before a goat gave birth, a male cat appeared to take on the role of midwife.

The viral video captured the tentative cat tending to the needs of the mother goat. The cat named Pretty Boy showed up just in time to help relax the goat. He even gently massaged the goat’s stomach when she had contractions. His intuition told him that the babies were coming soon, so he never left her side.

He would sleep next to her, sit on or massage her all day. Finally, the big moment arrived and he was there to help. Three healthy baby goats were delivered and went to meet the helpful feline. The babies were fascinated and intrigued by the cat.

After a few friendly sniffs, they all cuddled up together under the heat lamp and took a nap.

Just another thing we can learn from animals. Animals continue to amaze and teach us everyday. With over 900K views and thousands of comments, this video is one to watch and share. Check it out below.
